In VCE, students learn, practice and apply mathematical routines and techniques by undertaking application tasks and solving problems set in both unfamiliar and real life situations. All subjects involve the use of the CAS calculator as a computational tool. Wurun Senior Campus offers a range of Mathematics courses to suit different abilities and all career paths.
Specialist Mathematics and/or Mathematical Methods Unit 3 and 4 are prerequisites for many university courses including science, medicine, commerce, and engineering, and students should discuss these requirements with their careers counsellor before making a selection.
